1. Department:  Citizen Relationship and Urban Management
Branch:  Augmented Field Services Designation:General Worker
Salary Range:  R8 329.27 pm (Basic salary excluding benefits)
Location:Region A- G (City of Johannesburg)  

Appointment Requirements:
 Must be in a possession of Grade 8 / ABET level 1 qualification
 6-12 months relevant experience and/or proven record of community activism
 Must be physical & mentally fit;
 No criminal record;
 Applicants must be South African citizens and reside within the boundaries of City of Johannesburg. 

Required Documentations:

 Proof of Residence: Utility account OR any official account statement as proof of address OR a confirmation letter from the ward councilor. OR Affidavit confirming address.  

Key Performance Areas: The job includes the following:
Communicating within the preferred 11 languages, door to door education and awareness, Information dissemination, help with logistics such as questionnaires or stewarding, Knock and drop, visible patrols, Collection of Data. Weed removal, litter picking, street sweeping, Assisting with cleaning of storm water drains, removing of stickers/pamphlets from street furniture and poles.  Cleaning of Informal Settlements and Assisting with all Clean up campaigns, Kleena Joburg events in wards and all other related functions in the wards. 

Leading Competencies:
Team Player and someone who follows instructions, Ability to communicate in local languages applicable to the ward, ability to read and write. 

Core Competencies: Ability to use the prescribed position tools of trade (Broom / litter picker / spade/ rakes/ scrapper etc.)
