ARTISAN: HOUSING STOCK (PLUMBER)

The successful candidates will report to the Senior Supervisors (Housing Stock Maintenance): Housing Administration 

 
Minimum Requirements: Grade 10 with Plumbing Trade Certificate• 2 years relevant artisan experience in Plumbing 
 
Other requirements: Valid Code B drivers’ licence will be an added advantage• Must be responsible and able to work in a team without supervision• Must be willing to work shifts • Must speak and write at least 2 of the 3 official languages of the Western Cape • Understanding of water distribution and disposal systems in residential buildings• Attention to detail and high level of responsibility. Ability to handle plumbing tools and equipment •Must be physically fit and able to ascend and descend high structures. 
 
Duties: Perform activities/tasks associated with the maintenance of Council’s houses •Executing specific artisan works related to general maintenance and plumbing works according to standards and procedures on Council Properties by using the most effective working methods and safety aspects.

Salary: R 197 915.16– R 256 932.84 (subject to evaluation) Plus benefits
